So, I've been playing FAR STARS since it was a relativly new game and I absolutely love it! But I have noticed there are no such things as buildings in the game. there are these different races each with their own type and style of space craft, but yet no place where they are built. So I think one thing that could really give this game a huge boost is to add buildings, for example there could be the following:
(planetary) Mines- Slowly generates crystals based upon the type of planet and how populated it is
(Orbital) Space Stations- Could work with a factions system that i have noticed is being talked about on here (I think its a great idea btw). the space station could act as like a spawn point, and perhaps it could also spawn friendly AI like the like blue dudes that follow you in space
(Planetary) HQ- this could work as like well, a base but i was thinking that maybe you could have limitless blue dudes to fight for the, the catch being is that when one dies, it stays dead, so you would have to resuce another one to replace the dead one. but i was also thinking that if you added an HQ building then players could use it to send a squad of blue helpers to complete a task such as: Attack an Imperial Convoy, or Harvest Crystals from a planet, or Patrol a specific area that would be determined by the player
(planetary) House(s)- could be used as a home for the blue dudes for example, the with the idea that you can have limitless blue helpers fighting with you, the number of blue helpers you could have could be determined by the number of houses you have built
(Planetary) Embassy- along with the Factions system idea an Embassy could be used to have diplomatic relations with the other races/factions besides just helping them in battle.
These are all the ideas i have so far and I really hope you can put them into the game. If you like these ones then I'll be sure to add more when i think of them.
