Hulls and weapons:
I'd like to see the hull and weapons be upgradeable. It's kind of a pain to buy a whole new hull when I want a stronger ship (even with the 50% return). Same with weapons. It'd be nice if they were handled more like the idroids upgrades where you can just dump scrap into it when you have scrap available. This might help with people's difficulty concerns as well.
General:
More variations of ships would be nice. Enemies as well as pilot-able hulls.
I'd love to upgrade my ship to one of the larger versions I see the enemies in.
Trade posts. Trading one resource for another. Scrap for essence or crystal. Crystal for essence or scrap. It would make asteroid mining a viable way of grinding until you can go toe to toe with enemies.
Increasing difficulty as you head further from the start zone. Scaling enemies. Larger groups of enemies. All the way into infinity.
Spell check for grammar and punctuation in tool tips. I've noticed a few errors (I'm terrible at it myself).
Basically what I'm getting at is this game has me hooked and I need more content. Keep up the great work. I'm trying to get you some free advertising via Facebook channels. The merge relic button helped a lot lol. I'll chime in more suggestions as I think of them.

Someone else suggested a shield that deflected shots back. I'd like to second that idea. I can't give this game enough praise.

- The reason for not allowing to improve weapons is to encourage the players to change to new different items as they discover new ones. Otherwise you will just create the first weapon you discover and keep upgrading it forever as it will never be worth it to create a new one instead.

- Yeah, that will depend mainly of how the game sells, the more money I make with it the more time I will be able to spend working on it.

- Yeah, but that would also kill the purpose of landing into planets, as getting essence is the main attractive to landing in them. Although I would definitely like to add trading and multiplayer in the sequel, if I make enough money with FAR STARS.

- For the moment the only thing that scales is the respawn cost, and in the Assault mode the nearest you get to the center the stronger the enemies get. but it is true although there is very tough enemies you will end up overpowering all of them if you survive long enough. I am going to increase the strength of the Psynister (the fluorescent enemies) of the Darkness mode as time passes. Don´t tell nobody what I am going to tell you right now, but I plan to add a nemesis of you that increases with power as you do and hunts you.

- Could you please point those errors out so that I can correct them ?, I had the whole game spell checked by a professional but I guess we might have missed some text.

Make them research-able. Then start them with higher base stats and cost.
Another thing you might consider is making variations of existing hulls. Ie this version has 3 small gun mounts and a red stripe. Another version has 2 large guns, no small guns, and a blue stripe. Things like that. Hopefully it would save you time and expand the variety in game.
Keep up the good work. I hope this game catches on so the sequel has tons of funds.
